Expotel on emergency services roster

Expotel has won a three-year contract to provide a wide range of event services to UK emergency services organisations. To secure a place on the National Police Business Travel Framework – a preferred supplier roster – it had to submit competitive tenders to provide event and travel management, rail and air travel, hotel accommodation and other services to police, ambulance and fire services at local and national level throughout the UK. It is understood that BSI, Capita and CJS Event Solutions also won places on the roster. Devon & Cornwall Constabulary managed the tender process for the National Police Business Travel Framework and is a previous client of Expotel. The contract is for three years with the possibility of extension of an additional year. Devon & Cornwall Constabulary contracts officer David Wilson said: “Expotel was in the top two suppliers as determined by our comprehensive scoring matrix and scored highly with regard to technical expertise, pricing and facilities on offer. We expect that their considerable experience will be able to provide the framework with effective event solutions and significant savings.” Expotel public sector account manager James Newall said: “We will be able to fulfil the framework’s business travel requirements and we will ensure we achieve a cost-effective service while maintaining the new service.”
