Meeting Makers acquires SAS Event Management

Glasgow agency Meeting Makers has acquired SAS Event Management as the association specialist looks to expand its operations in the UK and overseas. “The coming together of our two companies significantly broadens our sector expertise and resources and provides us with the springboard we need to expand our operations into new markets both at home and overseas,” said Meeting Makers chairman Clive Thomson. Salisbury-based SAS Event Management, which has a track record of organising events in the UK, Europe and the US, will retain its identity and Victoria Armstrong will retain her post as managing director. “We are excited to be part of Meeting Makers,” Armstrong said. “Our combined experience and operations will greatly enhance our ability to service current clients and develop new business opportunities.” Meeting Makers was established in 1987 and specialises in the association sector. It also works with the public and corporate markets.
