Venue Show rebrands as Event UK

CMP’s National Venue Show has rebranded and condensed its coverage as it looks to reach out to a wider audience. Kicking off this morning’s opening day of sister show International Confex at Earls Court, event director Duncan Reid announced that the relaunched show – Event UK – will move from the old three-day format down to two and look to represent a wider offer than the old venue show could reflect. “The likes of marketing managers are looking more and more at our sector and the new show will match their needs,” Reid said. “The big experiential agencies for example know enough about venues and so we need a show that offers a more creative, lifestyle remit.” The new exhibition will run across 16-17 September this year, again at Birmingham’s NEC. Reid added that to draw a wider visitor base the exhibitor offer would expand similarly, taking in everything from florists and entertainers to furniture and security companies.
