Grass Roots launches Indian operation

Grass Roots Group has opened its first office in India. Based in New Delhi and headed up by managing director, Samitha Rao, the operation is offering communication, education, measurement, rewards and event management. Rao's prior experience includes an eight-year stint with HSBC Global Resourcing in India and China, where she spent time spent in a variety of functions including human resources, business continuity, project management and learning and development. “India is a fast growing economy with one of the most exciting, vibrant and unique cultures anywhere in the world. It’s a market we’ve wanted to be in for some time," Grass Roots chairman David Evans said of the move. "The opportunities domestically are considerable, while our presence here will help us meet the needs of a growing client list seeking global solutions to their performance improvement challenges." Rao added that she is aiming to make the company an industry leader within two years. “I want to ensure that Grass Roots India epitomises the passion for service, high standards, integrity and innovation that the Grass Roots Group stands for world-wide," she said.
