London Eye's Hatswell appointed UVL chair

Unique Venues of London has appointed London Eye sales and new business manager Lisa Hatswell to the position of chair. Hatswell was previously acting chair, following the departure in July of Charlotte Reeves, who left the position when she was recruited to the post of commercial director at design company Lavender Green. Unique Venues of London, established in 1993, has 68 member venues, which collectively have an annual turnover of more than £57m. “I am looking forward to taking this group of venues from strength to strength over the next 12 months,” said Hatswell. Hatswell has worked at the London Eye since 2000 and prior to that, for Marco Pierre White and Roux Fine Dining. Moya Maxwell, head of commercial programming for The Royal Opera House, was voted vice chair. The remaining Unique Venues of London Council of Management 2008 comprises: Jonathan Byrne (Gibson Hall) Pippa da Cunha (Victoria & Albert Museum) Colin Davidson (Middle Temple Hall) Paul Gray (Kew Gardens) Lucy Holmes (Wallace Collection) Lucy Jennings (BFI London Imax Cinema) Nicholas Leevers (Royal Geographical Society) Natacha Cuenoud (Royal College of Physicians) Nia Elias (Somerset House) Barry Melbourne-Webb (finance director)
