Motivcom acquires Protravel for £1.15m

Motivcom – the marketing services group that owns P&MM, AYMTM and as of last month Zibrant – has announced another acquisition in the form of group travel and entertainment specialist Protravel and sister company Protravel TB, for a cash consideration of £1.15m. Protravel’s offer includes travel promotions, group travel and incentives, sports and hospitality packages, prizes for competitions and prize-winner management. The company was established in 1983 and has eight staff based at Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The businesses will become part of the travel and leisure promotions division of P&MM. “This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our already powerful position in the sector by acquiring a well-established leading name in this market,” said David Lebond, executive director of Motivcom and head of the travel and leisure division. “The two teams have vast combined experience and there is excellent synergy between them.” Protravel managing director Will Redfern added. "I am delighted that Protravel and Protravel TB will become part of such a dynamic, professional and successful organisation whose capabilities offer exciting new opportunities to our customers and staff.”
