Staff retention key to BI success

Agency BI is celebrating this week, with its event management and performance improvement operations having turned in their first profits since 2003. The year to 30 June 2007 brought with it operating profits of £370,000 for events and performance improvement, a £590,000 uplift on 2006. Managing director Richard Bandell cited the company’s determination to retain and increase staff during the recent years of tough trading as one aspect that had paid off in the last twelve months. According to Bandell, this helped maintain client focus and paid off in the form of major account wins such as the three-year General Motors contract BI gained from incumbent Skybridge in May. Bandell predicted even greater improvements for 2008.
