New C&I property for ADNEC's micro-city

Danat Hotels and Resorts is to build a property, geared towards the needs of the C&I market, in the business and residential ‘micro-city’ being constructed around the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The property will be built on a 10,360sqm plot on the Al Khaleej Al Arabi coast road, opposite a marina. It will sit alongside other new hotels, residences, shops, and commercial towers in the developing area, known as Capital Centre. Danat Hotels and Resorts is a division of the National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H). “This development will add value to the MICE industry’s growth in Abu Dhabi and we are confident that our plans for this prime plot will exceed expectations,” said NCT&H managing director Abdulla Khalfan Matar Al Romaithi. Danat Hotels and Resorts’ other properties in its Emirates portfolio include Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna in Ruwais, Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi and Intercontinental Resort in Al Ain. ADNEC opened earlier this year and its second phase of development, which will see the venue occupy more than 55,000sqm, is due for completion next year.
