GRG acquires DMS and places it in Maritz set-up

The Grass Roots Group has acquired Delegate Management Services (DMS) for an undisclosed fee. Headquartered in Fleet, Hampshire, DMS specialises in high tech delegate services for conference and has offices in the UK and the USA. The business will remain headquartered in Fleet, in Hampshire, and no job losses are planned according to a statement from Grass Roots. “We are always seeking new members with special skills and a real strategic fit,” said Grass Roots chairman and founder David Evans. “DMS scores on both counts. This is a further indicator to clients that our interest in the meetings and events arena is robust, bold and with an emphasis on high quality services.” The business will fall into the management of Maritz Europa, under its managing director, Nick Bender, who added: “I believe this is a wonderful vote of confidence in what is being achieved in the old Maritz Europa businesses since they were acquired by Grass Roots. We will be helping DMS make the greatest success of this new life and opportunities.” David Preston, managing director of DMS, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Grass Roots family and look forward to working together to expand the business. There is great synergy between DMS and Maritz and I am keen to maximise the potential for all our clients.”
