ew £10m conference centre for Glasgow

A £10m conference and training centre is to open in Glasgow at the end of the month. Training provider GTG is launching the centre, on South Street, which will comprise 5,667sqm of conference, meetings and training space across 14 meeting rooms, a 150-seat conference suite and an atrium for private use. A dedicated events team will also be available. The centre will be split into two dedicated sections, where training run by GTG, part of private enterprise the Arnold Clark Group, will take place. Automotive training will be held in one of the sections and IT and business skills will take place in the other space. Part of the Clydeside regeneration project, the venue will open in late July and have a launch event in September. GTG chief executive David Stott said: “We already have a well established presence within the training industry and now with the additional practical training zones and superb conference facilities, we have an exceptional facility that will appeal to a wide variety of users.”
