Gemini adds London and Shanghai offices

Cheshire-based agency Gemini International has expanded its operation with offices in London and Shanghai. The moves follow a period of rapid expansion for Gemini that saw it grow from eight to 23 people in the last year. “Gemini has enjoyed a significant increase in revenue and staff size during the past 12 months as a result of winning several key accounts," said Gemini chief executive Christine Kelly. "We plan to continue building on this momentum and believe having a London presence will help us do so. Opening in London is a logical progression of our business and we will be able to provide even greater service to our clients.” Luis Burley, who joins from Expotel, will head the London operation. Meanwhile, with the Shanghai set-up, Gemini’s initial focus will be on Greater China, where it began its exploratory operation almost two years ago Kelly said. “There is a steep learning curve for any new company entering the Chinese market and this region. Fortunately we have invested the time and resources to make this a success. Our local management team, Liu Tao and Daniel Avery, will provide a perfect mix of local understanding and many years of experience that will be invaluable to our clients.”
