xpanding Eventia appoints management firm

Trade body Eventia has appointed Added Value Administration (AVA) to handle day-to-day management and administration duties, with immediate effect. According to the association, the move comes as a direct consequence of Eventia’s growth and the expansion of its activities since its formation in early 2006. “AVA’s administrative capability will give the Eventia the structure and stability it needs in order to continue serving its members’ requirements,” said Eventia chairman Nigel Cooper. “With offices in Westminster and North Yorkshire, AVA will provide us with a central London base and a team of staff who are both qualified and experienced in supporting organisations like ours.” AVA will now take care of all Eventia member enquiries and office services, as well as providing database management, an accounts facility and website development, overseen by executive director Izania Downie. “I’m delighted to be working with AVA managing director Alan Tallentire and his team,” said Downie. “Having the administrative function managed so efficiently will enable me to focus exclusively on adding value to membership in the form of events, information and additional services.”
