EES retains Honda carnival

Effective Event Solutions has been appointed by Honda to run its Summer Carnival, which is expected to draw up to 8,000 delegates. The Honda Summer Carnival is scheduled to take place at Bowood House, Wiltshire, on 21 July and about 8,000 Honda of the UK Manufacturing staff and their family and friends are expected to attend. Effective Event Solutions director Alan Ruck-Nightingale said Honda went out to tender to three companies for the event in 2005. “We won the contract and while it is potentially up for review each year, we remain committed to delivering a high quality event, which is cost effective and meets Honda’s requirements and this gives us the best opportunity of maintaining their business,” he said. Honda of the UK Manufacturing manager corporate communications Julie Cameron said it first appointed Effective Event Solutions nine years ago. “It has developed a high level of experience which enables it to deliver excellent events which match our expectations.” This year’s carnival will comprise a daytime family event and, for the first time, evening entertainment. Details are being finalised but Ruck-Nightingale said dragon boat racing, giant inflatable games and laser clay shooting were among daytime activities likely to take place. Night entertainment is likely to include live music and a fireworks display. “Honda’s recreation committee wanted to attract all our staff to the event so by providing a wide variety of activities we hope it will become more appealing for those who would not normally attend,” said Cameron. “It is a motivational event for staff and their families to share in a fun environment and to say thank you for their support throughout the year.”
