Bluehat UK adds CSR-based activity

Team building firm Bluehat UK has launched a corporate social responsibility game designed to raise social and environmental awareness among delegates. The objective of the game, ‘Eden’, is to build a sustainable community by completing tasks, which earn delegates points that are converted into resources used for community construction. Bluehat UK creative director Neil Harvey explained that while delegates competed against each other in teams, a ‘global’ awareness of how the entire group was impacting on the environment was created by the game. In order to successfully complete Eden, teams must build a sustainable community while controlling and reducing their negative impact on the environment. Harvey said the game encouraged delegates to think about global market economics and industrial culture while creating “increasingly sustainable solutions”. Bluehat UK and Scotland-based agency Maximillion worked with an environmental consultant when they developed Eden. “We wanted to create a game that was thought provoking, an event where the discussions last long after the game has finished,” said Harvey. “We want people to think about their own contribution and how they can change the way they impact on society and the environment.”
