Indeprod looks to further acquisitions

Indeprod has revealed it is considering acquiring up to three more agencies, following its announcement earlier this week that it had bought performance improvement specialist Oxford Motivation for an undisclosed sum. Indeprod client services director Richard Skeels confirmed to C&IT that the company is now looking at further acquisitions in the communication, incentives and performance improvement sectors. “We are having various ongoing conversations and are at key stages with a number of companies," he said. "It’s fair to say that we’d be keen to add at least one other company in 2007.” Skeels confirmed that Oxford Motivation would keep its name and that all six full time staff would retain their jobs following the purchase. It will initially operate from its existing base in Oxford with the aim of joining the Indeprod head office in Buckinghamshire by the end of the year. Oxford Motivation director John Fisher said of the acquisition: “We realised that in the brave new world of procurement, that talent and extensive experience are not enough. You need to be part of a substantial organisation that offers a wide range of relevant services.” Skeels added that the purchase followed a year-long search: “We had been looking to acquire for a while and it was a matter of finding the right partner. While as a business we touched on performance improvement previously, it was not something we did a great deal of so Oxford Motivation complements our offer extremely well.”
