Blank Canvas snaps up THA man

Leicestershire’s Blank Canvas Events has appointed former THA Group project director Ray Barrett as event director. The newly created role will see Barrett support Blank Canvas director and former director at THA Penny Noble to help the business deliver events for its key automotive clients. Blank Canvas was formed in August 2005 and Noble said that Barrett’s appointment will allow her to spend more time with her growing client base. “Ray has years of experience, including more than ten with THA, and we are delighted to have him on board,” she added. THA Group client services director Kirsty Dean said: “We are very sad to see Ray go, but he was looking for a new challenge and we very much wish him all the best.” Susan Boon, previously senior project manager at THA, has been promoted to fill Barrett’s former post. Elsewhere, THA has appointed Victor Harrison digital solutions manager, a new role for the company. Harrison is responsible for all THA’s online and other digital communications. The moves follow last week’s announcement that former BI stalwart John Hooker is to return to agency work as a board member at THA Group from this week.
