NTO anounces showcase for agencies

The Government of India Tourism Office, Lufthansa and Swiss Airlines, Oberoi Hotels and DMC Cox & Kings India are joining forces to highlight India’s C&I offer with a showcase evening for agencies. The NTO is looking to capitalise on recent corporate interest, which has seen the likes of Tesco, Rolls Royce and BT take groups to the country. The event, which is being held in association with C&IT magazine, takes place on 1 March at London's India House. The evening will feature a drinks reception and presentations, as well as dinner and entertainment including a Bollywood-style dance performance and a sari-tying competition. The evening could be the first in a series of similar events. “We want to create awareness and educate people about India and its vast range of venues and experiences,” said Oberoi UK and Ireland director (corporate and MICE) Marnie Kovacs. “People are looking for alternatives to Europe and long-haul destinations and, as an emerging economy, India has very much come into focus of late.” Interested parties should contact: Daniela Jones at daniela.jones@axissm.com
