Hilton launches bespoke meetings site

Hilton has launched its first global meetings and events website in line with the company’s overall strategy to increase online bookings to 25% of the total by 2009. The website is designed to act as a one-stop shop for the meetings market, offering room information, news, a booking facility and a search function that allows planners to view facilities across Hilton’s global portfolio. The meeting room section of the site includes virtual room plans with capacities and dimensions. The launch is accompanied by a 24-hour proposal service accompanies the launch direct to the hotel of choice and e-brochures can be tailored for delegates and emailed or downloaded. The site also offers an e-newsletter subscription for planners to receive the latest hotel news, meeting and conference deals and special offers. "We are continually developing our meetings and events products to further exceed customer expectations and ensure consistency,” said Hilton International director of business products and promotions Jude Bissert. The launch will be supported by a global in-hotel poster advertising campaign, an online advertising campaign and a direct mail campaign to 80,000 meeting planners in the UK and Europe.
