NCL sets course for MICE market

NCL is finalising plans to target the C&I market with its informal cruising brand Freestyle Cruising. The Miami-based cruise line has assigned more than £500,000 for the first phase of the push, which launches on 1 December. NCL general manager UK Francis Riley said that C&I demand was growing and now accounted for more than 10% of its business. “While the main focus is communicating to the market as a whole, the proportion of C&I business is growing at a faster rate than our budget,” Francis said. The company will be exhibiting its offering at EIBTM and is in the processing of updating its vessels with the view to having the youngest fleet at sea by 2010.
