Eventia and C&IT link for CSR drive

Eventia is backing C&IT’s Campaign for Change, with a series of joint CSR initiatives over the next 12 months. Eventia executive director Izania Downie commented: “We support C&IT’s drive to engage the industry with the launch of its Without A Trace CSR guide and we wholeheartedly support the campaign as an organisation. “CSR is the burning issue of the moment among our members and the wider industry and it is something that affects all of us. Whatever we can do as a collective should be done,” she added. Eventia and C&IT’s joint collaboration kicks off at EIBTM with a lunch debate for show delegates headed by Organise This director Fiona Pelham on the 29 November. “We are hosting the debate at EIBTM to generate interest, to get people on board and to highlight how easy it is to make a difference,” said Downie. “For example, I was gobsmacked to hear that it is just £1.99 to offset carbon costs for a return flight from London to Barcelona – it’s less than a cup of coffee and I can’t imagine many clients saying no to that,” she added. Interested parties should get in touch with Eventia via info@eventia.org.uk.
