Imagination bags two CSR gongs

London-based agency Imagination was recognised twice at this year’s International Visual Communication Association (IVCA) Clarion Awards. The IVCA’s mission is to ‘promote effective business and public service communications of the highest ethical and professional standards’. The agency landed awards for the Best Live Event and a Special Recognition prize for Imagination CEO and founder Gary Withers to celebrate his 35 years in the industry. The live award was for Imagination’s ‘Lifetime Lab’ – a children’s interactive exhibition built in Cork, Ireland, dealing with issues of sustainable living and the environment. Built on the site of an old waterworks, the facilities include a schools resource centre, information centre, adventure playground, conference suites and an interactive visitor exhibition. Since opening in October 2005, more than 10,000 people have visited the site. Imagination account director Ursula Morrish said: "The challenge was to create a unique destination to demonstrate Cork's vision of sustainability. The Imagination project team is delighted to receive this award in recognition of the fruition of that vision.”
