Olive 360 launches pharma brand

Olive 360 has hired ex-Universal CIT account director Suzie Cowan to manage a new specialist event management division focusing on the pharmaceutical sector. Cowan will work full-time on the new division, Pharma360, assisted by two account handlers. The division was formed in response to a growing demand for pharmaceutical events as well as contending with the sector's specific and rigorous legislation. Cowan said: “The market at the moment is very buoyant and are looking tap into that through a brand that clients within the pharmaceutical industry could specifically identify with. While they may have heard of Olive 360, they may not have been aware of our pharmaceutical event management expertise.” Nigel Glover, formally of The Choice Group, will oversee operations as commercial director. He said: “With advances in technology and the strengthening of the Pharmaceutical Code of Practice, there is strong requirement for a robust protocol in organising meetings in this complex sector.” Cowan added that new business was being pursued, though no official client announcements had yet been made. The brand officially launched last week and will remain in Olive 360’s offices in London.
