Former Jigsaw head launches start-up

Jacqui Kavanagh, former managing partner at venue finding agency Jigsaw Conferences, is set to make a speedy return to the sector with the launch of Trinity Conferences next week. The move follows Kavanagh being bought out of the Jigsaw business by the other joint owner, Mandy Chagger, three weeks ago. Kavanagh insists the split was amicable: “We did very well and Jigsaw grew very quickly in its three years, but Mandy and I wanted to follow different paths.” Trinity officially opens its doors on 18 September with what it is claiming is a unique offer – national and international venue finding with IT solutions thrown in. “We are offering a free service with payment based on conversions only and providing much more in the way of IT and e-marketing services,” said Kavanagh. “We have a dedicated IT manager so we are able to provide services such as web and intranet sites for clients that they can monitor and have a two-way dialogue with employees.” The new company’s seven-strong team includes special projects manager Katharine Jordan, most recently marketing manager on conference directories The Blue Book and The Green Book and IT manager Mark Taylor who joins from Jigsaw.
