Concorde brings together UK buyers

Concorde Hotel & Resorts has completed its first C&I workshop for UK event agents in a bid to reinforce its brand offering. The hotel group, that includes European venues such as Barcelona’s Princesa Sofia and Paris’s Hotel de Crillon, took more than 35 event agents to the French Riviera for a workshop attended by sales teams from 16 European properties including Paris, Prague and London. "The properties we selected for the event are those you will find on numerous pan-European C&I briefs," said C&I senior sales manager Dominic Brown. Highlights of the programme included dinner at La Palme d’Or, two nights in Nice’s Palais de la Mediterranee Hotel and a show around at Cannes’ Hotel Martinez. It will add weight to the brands current marketing strategy that includes exhibiting at Imex and European MICE forum Confec. Brown said: "This was about getting a targeted sector of buyers and representatives together in an event that was exclusive to us and carefully time managed." It hopes to follow the workshop with a similar event in a different destination next year.
