Marston launches instant-booking website

Marston Hotels has launched a real-time conference and event booking website, enabling agents to check availability and make a provisional or confirmed online booking for their clients within minutes. Developed and operated in partnership with Cranfield University’s Kinetic Solutions, the fully automated system accesses the conference diaries for each of Marston Hotels’ 12 properties, offering real-time availability for all 223 conference and meeting rooms to give clients an immediate response. Customers can access the site by logging on to www.marstonvenues.com or by visiting Marston Hotels’ redesigned website at www.marstonhotels.com. The site enables agents to fill in their clients’ requirements, compare available venues across the hotel group, and select room layout options and special requirements within minutes. They then complete an online form with their contact details and submit. Existing customers simply key in their email address and password and the system instantly fills in the form with the required information. Details supplied by the customer are then automatically converted into conference diary format and the customer receives an email confirming their booking enquiry. Marston Hotels director John Cotter said: “This is going to revolutionise the way we do business. When you’ve got almost 70 staff amending bookings and availability for 223 meeting rooms, it’s almost impossible to keep track of everything. Now we have one access point gathering and feeding new requests and information to the whole company. This will simplify the booking process for agents and help them find the ideal venue for a conference or event as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
