Hilton Glasgow voted Scottish Business Hotel of the Year

The Hilton Glasgow won Scottish Business Hotel of the Year at the third annual Scottish Hotels of The Year Awards 2006 held last night (Sunday 23 April). More than 400 guests – 25% up on attendance last year – descended on The Radisson SAS in Glasgow for the announcement. The awards, organised by Scotland hotel guide HotelReviewScotland.com and supported by the Scottish Tourism Forum and VisitScotland.com, cover every facet of the hotel hospitality business, including awards for design, housekeeping, dining, innovation and management. The panel of 16 judges was made up of industry experts and critics including Visit Scotland CEO Marco Truffelli and former AA chief hotels inspector David Young. Other winners included Summer Isles Hotel as Scottish Hotel of the Year, Kohler Waters Spa, Old Course Hotel as Hotel Spa of the Year and St Andrews Bay, Golf Resort & Spa as Golf Resort of the Year.
