Nottingham Arena installs new ice cover for events

Nottingham Arena has installed a new ice cover to allow a quicker turnaround time between events. The six-year old ice rink can be converted into a conference space holding up to 10,000 delegates. The new ice shield, designed by Portable Roadway Systems, will aid the venue in its quest to raise its profile as a corporate events space. It can be installed onto the ice in under two hours allowing for quick turnaround between events. National Ice Centre events manager Junior Wood said the new matting would save time and demand fewer handling staff. "With the events schedule getting busier and busier all the time – this will really make a difference to the team," he said.
