Business tourism award win for The Centaur

The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse has won London Business Today’s Business Achievement Award for Best Sporting Venue of the Year 2006, in the conference category. The Business Achievement (BA) Award is a completely independent award programme that recognises business excellence and best practice across a wide range of disciplines. Entrants are judged on specific category criteria underpinned by the award programme’s values of success, innovation and ethics. The Centaur was singled out because of its “quality of services and facilities combined with the location”. Commenting on receiving the award, marketing and communications manager Sally Smith said: “We were extremely honoured to be given this award when we were up against such great competition. The Centaur is an outstanding venue and still only in its second year of trading so to win makes this an even more special achievement for the whole team.” Recent clients to The Centaur include Nissan, Sainsburys, Honda, Waitrose, Renault, HSBC and Currys.
