Crown group appoints new chief executive

Event services body The Crown Group has appointed Charles Beer as chief executive. Beer, previously managing director of Crown society’s event catering arm, takes responsibility for all 10 companies within the group. He was appointed by group chairman Russell Morgan who cited Beer’s "commitment to the company" as central to the appointment. "With the group now turning over £40m annually it is important we underpin this with the right management structure to lead us into the future," he said. "Over the past six years, Charles has successfully enhanced the reputation of Crown Society maintained a high level of customer satisfaction whilst increasing turnover two fold." Morgan added that he will remain chairman and "continue to be involved" with the group’s future.
