Imex calls for its CSR award entries

Imex is calling on event planners to submit their entries for the show’s Commitment to the Community awards and the Green Meeting award. The Green Meeting award will recognise those planners who have demonstrated innovative efforts to prevent and reduce the environmental impact of a meeting through design, planning processes, implementation and evaluation. Criteria for the Commitment to the Community award include sustainability and creativity, and planners will be judged on their efforts to benefit a charitable initiative. IMEX marketing and operations director Carina Bloom said: “We are rallying UK planners to enter these awards so that we can promote their case studies on a global platform. The importance of these two awards is to highlight best practice in the industry and to show other planners what can be done on a sustainable level.” Entry forms can be downloaded from www.imex-franfurt.com and the deadline for submissions is 28 February 2006. Event planners interested in attending the exhibition as part of C&IT’s hosted buyer programme should contact cit@haynet.com
