Inntel wins top business awards

Colchester based conference and hotel reservations agency Inntel received the ultimate accolade at the annual Essex Business Awards. The company was named as the Essex Business of the Year at the recent ceremony, which was open to all businesses operating in the Essex region. The Business of the Year title is awarded to the business that demonstrates clear objectives, a genuine commitment to quality and service and, most importantly, a team of highly motivated and enthusiastic staff. Unlike other categories, this award was judged by a panel of 14 drawn from leading businesses in the county. The agency also walked away with the Outstanding Customer Care award in the most hotly contested category of the event. Judges were looking for organisations that could demonstrate that they "exceed customer expectations within their industry." Commenting on his company’s successes, Inntel managing director Douglas O’Neill said “to win the accolade of Business of the Year is a great tribute to our staff, especially as it our 21st year in business and one where we have achieved record turnover of £25 million. To also win the Outstanding Customer Care award demonstrates our continued and consistently high levels of customer service. I am immensely proud of the staff at Inntel and of our success at the 2005 Business Awards."
