etc.venues wins Visit London Best for Business award

etc.venues was awarded gold in the Visit London Awards 2005 Best for Business category at a dinner held at Old Billingsgate Market on 29 November 2005. Other shortlisted organisations included Devonport House in Greenwich, Hilton London Metropole, Excel London and Silver Fleet – Woods River Cruises. The judging panel’s decision was based on etc.venues’ ongoing commitment to excellence and the organisation’s innovative and creative approach to the UK’s meetings, training, conference and incentive sectors, said a Visit London spokesperson. According to etc.venues managing director Sally Wilton: “etc.venues is proud to have won this prestigious accolade as part of our ongoing commitment to London and the Visit London partnership. At a time when The Olympics and London is at the top of the British business and tourism calendar, etc.venues recognises the value of being in a position to showcase the best of what London businesses have to offer. “It is a time for the industry to realign its benchmarking standards and learn from counterpart cities around the globe. With 13 years’ experience of responding to change and evolution, from corporate re-branding, the addition of new venues and refurbishments, ongoing concern for the environment and support of CSR-led projects, as well as accessibility and investment in staff, the entire etc.venues team looks forward to continuing to add value to our business offering, leading up to 2012 and beyond,” she added.
