New events insurance launched

Event insurer Insurex Expo-Sure has announced its improved product offering, the Event Insurance Portfolio, following its acquisition by specialist insurance group Hiscox in February earlier this year. The Event Insurance Portfolio combines three core products: cancellation and abandonment, property damage and public liability. The products have been updated to include user-friendly policy wordings that can be tailored to individual customers and free terrorism cover of £100,000 for any event held in the EU. Within the portfolio, Insurex Expo-Sure has also increased coverage for property damage on all policies from £25,000 to £50,000. The property damage cover for items permanently at the venue for which the insured is liable has also been increased from £10,000 to £20,000. Insurex Expo-Sure managing director David Sweeney said: “The key to the Event Insurance Portfolio is the ability we have to tailor cover for individual customers – they can choose from one or more of the core products, or add optional extras such as money or travel insurance. "As a part of Hiscox, Insurex Expo-Sure combines an in-depth knowledge of the event insurance market with high quality, flexible underwriting and we are confident the portfolio will be a one-stop-shop for people looking to purchase event insurance.” Insurex Expo-Sure has also revamped its corporate identity to reflect its new status as a Hiscox company.
