Agencies ‘deliver more business to event suppliers’

Hotels and event suppliers are losing out on business by not recognising the benefits of working with intermediaries. The benefits of the relationship with agencies were discussed at Visit London’s recent Business Forum, held in September at Etc Venues’ The Hatton. In a round-table discussion, 100 suppliers and agents agreed that working with agency account managers gave suppliers exposure to a greater number of suitable clients. DMC Spectra managing director Wendy Moffat said it had been useful in combating the view that intermediaries are an unnecessary evil. “We don’t spend enough time telling them what we do,” she said.
