August deadline for entries to EIBTM Awards 2005

The 2005 EIBTM Awards will once again honour and encourage the highest standards by offering many talented event creators and marketeers the chance to be recognised for their highly imaginative skills and professional execution of ideas. With a little over one month to go, entries to the annual EIBTM Awards have already started flooding in and anyone who would like to be recognised and rewarded for their achievements are being encouraged to complete their entries by the 31 August 2005. The Awards provide an opportunity to showcase achievements in front of the whole meetings industry culminating in the Awards Ceremony in Barcelona during EIBTM 2005. The categories for the 2005 EIBTM Awards are as follows: Best Conference < 250="" pax="" best="" conference=""> 250 pax Best Product Launch Best Incentive Travel Programme Best Event In Spain New for 2005 are the Marketing Campaign Awards, open to suppliers in the global meetings and incentive industry. Entries should demonstrate successful marketing campaigns that have attracted meetings and incentive planners to their destination, hotel or venue. Any marketing campaigns that run between 1 July 2004 - 30 June 2005 are eligible to enter under one of the three new categories: Best Venue Marketing Campaign Best Destination Marketing Campaign Best Hotel Marketing Campaign Entries for all award categories are welcomed from either in-house departments or external agencies. Judging of the 2005 EIBTM Awards will take place on the 20th October 2005 in London. The international panel will include consultants and suppliers from the incentive travel and meetings industry, together with editors of the supporting media partners who will assemble from all over the world, including: Convegni C & IT Meetings International Events Russia Events Germany MICE International Spain Travel & Business Business Travel Benelux Voyages et Strategie Judges will be looking for truly outstanding events/campaigns which are highly imaginative in concept and execution. Creativity, innovation, effectiveness and over delivery on the brief will all be key factors in the judges’ final decisions. Winners will receive their awards at the prestigious EIBTM Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday 29th November 2005 during the EIBTM Welcome Reception sponsored by Barcelona Convention Bureau, Catalonia Tourism and Turespana. Open to all Hosted Buyers, visitors, exhibitors and industry media attending the event. Who Should Enter? Any type of event that falls under one of the following headings is eligible for entry to the EIBTM Awards. Incentive Travel Conferences and Meetings Corporate Events - including one day, multi day, evening only, product launch or hospitality occasions The deadline for entries is the 31 August 2005.
