THA leads in Belgian market after merger

THA Europe, the European arm of Leicester-based THA Group, has merged with Brussels motivation agency Nikitra to create THA-Nikitra, the largest independent C&I agency in Belgium. THA Europe general manager Tina Joris becomes general manager of the new body, while Nikitra general manager Pascale Godijns is director of business development. "We took the opportunity to merge because of our strong synergies," said Joris. "We have the same ethics regarding client and staff management, and a similar turnover. Both companies were looking for expansion so there will not be any redundancies. "We have reduced business risk by diversifying our marketplace; we are experienced in the automotive sector and Nikitra in the medical and pharmaceutical industries." The merger will offer blue-chip companies the opportunity to work with a bigger incentive company. Current clients include Daimler Chrysler and medical product manufacturer Stryker. "Having a strong overseas arm makes the process easier for UK clients looking for an event in Belgium," added THA business support director Phil Whetter.
