Norwegian cruises: a new group option

Norwegian Coastal Voyage has launched a dedicated conference brochure aimed at the UK meetings and incentive industry. "We’ve never focused on this market before, but as our ships have the appropriate facilities it makes sense," said Norwegian Coastal Voyage head of business development Laurence Hicks. All 11 ships in the fleet have lecture theatres seating ten to 200 delegates. MS Midnatsol and MS Trollfjord have the largest conference capacity, with auditoriums seating 200 delegates theatre-style as well as two smaller conference rooms for 25. Sent to 200 conference organisers in January, the brochure has triggered a lot of interest along with five provisional bookings. "We are offering a different concept and an unusual destination," said Hicks. "Delegates will see some of the most inspiring scenery in the world." Four conference packages are outlined, starting from £545 per delegate for a three-day, two-night programme. Along with a dedicated budget to target this market, NCV’s London office has also appointed a business executive for C&I Eric Kjelkvik.
