Brand repositioning for SRS-Worldhotels

SRS-Worldhotels has rebranded and dropped the ‘SRS’ prefix. In a move to clarify its brand positioning, Worldhotels chief executive officer Michael Ball said: "The SRS ‘bit’ caused confusion. It stood for Steigenberger Reservation Service, which was how we started 35 years ago. But we are much more than that now." With member properties in 70 countries across the globe, Worldhotels is a consortium offering sales, marketing and distribution for around 500 hotels. As of this month Mark Gorgon joins Worldhotels as sales and marketing director UK and Ireland. "Mark comes from a C&I background and part of his remit is to boost group bookings," said Ball. As part of its new website, the dedicated section for meeting planners has now been enhanced in order to make the group- booking process more streamlined.
