Suntec unveils raft of marketing plans

Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre has launched a programme of marketing initiatives for this year. Despite witnessing a 4.5% drop in seminars, exhibitions and catering bookings, the number of conventions at the centre rose by 24 in 2002. As a result, Suntec Singapore will maintain its focus on conventions and exhibitions, and will launch seminar packages for clients holding meetings after 6pm with cost savings of up to 30%. It will also respond to email requests for proposals to speed up its response to enquiries and streamline the sales process. The centre will also look to expand its partnerships. “These have attracted events like the Annual Meeting for the International Monetary Fund/World Bank to Singapore,” explained Suntec Singapore CEO Warren Buckley. Suntec Singapore won five bids recently, pulling in 7,800 delegates.
