Entries soar in all categories for CEA Awards

Entries for the 2002 Corporate Event Association (CEA) awards rose by 50% to 75 in total. It was the first time the awards were held in association with CIT sister publication Event. “There was a good range of events up for consideration by the judges – from low-cost to big-budget,” said CEA chairman Sam Gill. “The panel was impressed by the calibre of entries.” Among the winners were Jack Morton Worldwide, which won the Grand Prix for its work on the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, while The Russell Organisation was named Event Management Company of the Year. Bluehat scooped Team-Building Company of the Year and MotivAction won best Incentive or Motivational Event.
