ITMA refutes claims of membership bias

The ITMA has denied allegations that its annual awards ceremony is primarily aimed at, and won by, its own members. Clarifying the association’s stance, ITMA executive director Charles Robinson said: “The role of the ITMA is to represent the C&I industry as a whole. Entries for 2002 were quite evenly split between member and non-member companies and gold awards have been won by all kinds of agencies, regardless of their relationship with the association.” The 2002 ITMA Platinum Award was won by The Russell Organisation and Act Live, who are not members of the ITMA. The ITMA Awards 2003, held in association with Conference and Incentive Travel, will take place on 7 February next year at Le Méridien Grosvenor House in London. Submissions must be received by 18 October and entry forms are available inside this issue or can be downloaded from www.citmagazine.com.
