Acclaim joins up with Peak Events to widen service

Live events agency Acclaim has teamed up with Peak Events in a bid to offer a broader spectrum of services. Acclaim will be able to make use of Peak Events’ research division. It produces the Peak Report – an annual research publication for client companies which looks at customer bases to investigate why they attend particular types of events. “Clients now have increased budget constraints and are being extra cautious about all their marketing activity,” said Acclaim managing director Simon Hambley. “They are demanding measurable results and a proof of return on any investment. “With our partnership with Peak, we can now take a more consultative role and advise our clients where they should be investing,” he added. “The days of simply producing a great show are gone and we now have to look at providing a more strategic and sophisticated service.” Peak Events spokesman Peter Heath added: “To operate an effective live events programme there must be an understanding of what the audience actually wants from a conference, rather than just running with what the company thinks that audience wants. “Combining our skills means the creative and production process is easier to implement and measure.”
