Japan focuses on developing incentive ideas

The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) is echoing calls by the Japan National Tourist Organisation (JNTO) to further develop the country’s appeal as an incentive destination. The JNTO believes its 49 designated convention cities should expand their scope and target new markets with fresh campaigns. "We must promote incentives more and overcome perceptions of language barriers as many in the sector in Japan speak good English," said JNTO executive vice-president Yoshiya Iida. The TCVB aims to double its quota of incentive groups, focusing primarily on Asia Pacific business.
