Dreamtime is set to pull in C&I business

The Australian Tourist Commission (ATC) predicts Dreamtime 2001 will pull in more business than the previous year. The annual event takes place in Sydney from 14-18 July and will incorporate a two-day exhibition and three days of incentive options. At least 85 C&I suppliers will showcase their wares to the 120 international buyers expected to attend. Of the buyers, 30 are from Europe and South Africa, including nine agents from the UK. Initially a biennial event, the ATC increased its frequency due to the business it pulled in. “Last year’s event generated more than £25 million in incentive business and we are now looking to convert demand into business for Sydney and the whole of Australia. Dreamtime demonstrates Australia is achievable in seven days,” said Sheila Ainscough, ATC mana-ger, meetings, conventions and incentives for Europe, South Africa and the Middle East.
