Airports no longer serve our market

Airports are designed for the purpose of travel, yet BAA seems to be ignoring this simple fact, along with the needs of its customers. Judging by reports, it appears current strategies at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted will see staff cut and retail outlets added in already over-filled spaces. I expect to see smaller security areas and bigger queues.
