2012 - let's begin with the ending
It's two years since we learned that the Olympics were coming to town. So how are we celebrating? By announcing - against a backdrop of the Games' spiralling costs - job and budget cuts, first at Sport England and then at our own national tourist office, Visit Britain (see p5) - the very organisations with the most to gain and the most to offer in helping to make the Games a triumph. It's easy to see why so many minnies are keen to moan.
