Diary: Stardate 2010, Hawaii - the final frontier

Already famed for its lunar-looking landscape, the Pacific island state is now set to become a space tourism capital. The state has passed a bill that will see an Oklahoma aerospace firm try to wrestle the initiative back from Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic by offering space flights from the island by 2010.
