A fishing village dating back to the 12th century on the Egyptian Red Sea coast is about to be emphatically plucked from obscurity. Previously a sparsely-populated chunk of desert, Port Ghalib will, by November this year, be transformed into a gleaming international resort with three five-star hotels, marina and convention centre.
