Radisson Edwardian's May Fair Hotel reopens this month following a two-year, £75m redesign and refit. The extended property has 80 new bedrooms and an extra floor has been added. Function room upgrades include the new 250-delegate capacity Crystal Room, which features a £1m Baccarat chandelier, the largest in Europe. Prestwold Hall has joined three other period properties in the Midlands under the umbrella of Maverick, a newly formed event planning, catering and venue management service. The hall, which can host conferences for up to 100 and has three break-out rooms, is launching an 'Italian Job' team-building package this autumn at the only estate-apart from Goodwood - that boasts a racetrack.
