Venue Focus: Rocco Forte takes on the Brown's Hotel mantle

Brown's Hotel officially reopens in December.

Now under the management of Rocco Forte, the long-renowned property in London's Mayfair dates back to 1837, when four adjacent townhouses were converted into a hotel by a wealthy valet in the pay of Lord Byron. Following its most recent renovation, it now offers 117 guest rooms, three spa treatment rooms and six meeting spaces, the largest of which can accommodate 70 theatre-style. The hotel's restaurant, The Grill, will be overseen by executive chef Laurence Glayzer, formerly of The Ritz and The Savoy Grill. Tel: 020 7493 6020
